Hip-Hop Unit
The most interesting part from the Hip-Hop unit was when we learned about how scratching actually started. It was when a man was at home and his mom yelled at him and he accidentally scratched the album he was playing.I can use this in the future by telling my kids and grandchildren so they can know the history how hip-hop was made and that it was one of the best thing that was every made because it can make you mad, happy , or sad.Yes it inspire me because as a kid i use to sing and with hip-hop you can do both and get your story out about your life what your going through.

The new schedule and format of 9th grade is kind of better because it's your choice to go to a class and if not your grade go's down. Also it's easier to work and get help. From my view the teachers like it better.I like it a little better and not that much,i like it because you can pick the classes and order they go in and i don't like it because i miss a couple classes because they be full or i mix up the time with classes.I LIKE DOLPHINS.

The Ingenuity Festival is a celebration of art and technology that's held in Cleveland,OH. Design Lab Early College High School fits into the Ingenuity Festival because at Design Lab we build types of art and we think around problems to solve them. The work that we do impacts the festival in many was one of them is that the artist and visitors can sit and share ideas.Another one is that if people like our art it can get noticed by people and my school can get offers from people and more. The stuff we need to know to understand to make our design great is to know how much materials we need, make it different something no one else has made, and have great ideas/teamwork.The exciting part about building this stage/seating area is that i know when i finish that people are using my art and talking about it.But this whole project is fun because i'm learning things i didn't know before.

First we had to inventory to make sure we had everything we needed to make the robot we making. Then after that we had start building the robot. The first step was to but the screws in the base so the brain(engine) would stay.Yes i like the teamwork aspect. But i would rather work solo because i have always like working by myself and also i get stuff done faster.I really dont know but just work.My communication skills will come better because you have to so work as a team. That class is important because it can help me later on in life.

My experience at Design Lab HS so far is not how i wanted it to be, but it will do just for my freshman year. Other schools i visited were better but I came to Design Lab for my Freshman year because i can get college credits as a freshman .I don't like that the school is not that organized ,the school is small, like very small, and the school looks like a jail if you really pay attention. Things that could be change to make a better experience is to make the school bigger, have things in order more, plus the little chromebook system need's to be way better because if you are at the end of the line it is super easy to miss the bus if you ride the bus. I'm learning a lot in the makersspace because it teaches us how to work as a team. If something doesn't work, or go our way, we have to find a way to fix it, and finally we learn how to use power tools. I think you are conducting the school the way you are because you want to keep people safe ,and help us reach our goals, graduation, and give us the knowledge we need to be successful in life.
